Our best tour in Costa Rica! I am a bird lover, and booked the early bird watching tour through Pura Vida Tours. They picked me up by 5:00 in the morning and drove for 15 minutes to get to the rain forest by the National Park. My guide (Javier) was great; he pointed out so many birds, and even made some strange noises to attract them! He was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and professional. great day with pura vida! i did the all day combo/adventure tour with pura vida and it was a great day! it started early - got picked up at 7am and didnt get dropped off until 10pm - but it went by so fast! it started on the hanging bridges, then on to the la fortuna waterfall, lunch in la fortuna, hiking at arenal, watching for lava (which we saw!), then to the hot springs. our guide was so knowledgable about everything costa rica - the plants, animals, culture, everything - and didnt mind the gazillion questions that we asked. everything was perfect! Exceptional experience! My boyfriend and I just got back from touring Costa Rica. While in La Fortuna, we booked a tour to the hanging bridges, La Fortuna waterfall, and a sunset hike at the Arenal Volcano with Pura Vida tours. Our guide was Javier, a former biology teacher. He will tell you that he only speaks 'un poquito' english, but it is near perfect. He was very engaging and knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. He helped us take pictures of birds from far away through his binoculars. At the very beginning of our volcano hike there was an absolutely miserable downpour and we were all completely soaked. I think that most of us on the tour were considering not completing the hike, but Javier convinced us to and the rain stopped in 10 minutes, the sun came out, and the hike was well worth it. The tour was very prompt and professionally run. I would seek out Javier for other tours if we go back (especially Rio Celeste!) - he really seems to love his job and meet new people. Excellent service for my student tour group I connected with Pura Vida Tours several years ago when I first started bringing my college student group to Costa Rica for an ecological study tour. I will be using them for the fourth time this year. They have consistently provided me with great service organizing activities. They also provide knowledgeable, well spoken English speaking guides. For national flights the registration of air tickets and baggage billing (check-in) should be carried out 60 minutes prior the hour of departure of the flight. This norm applies for the airports of Pavas and Liberia.

For international flights the registration of air tickets and baggage billing (check-in) should be carried out 90 minutes before the programmed hour of departure of the flight.

The national flights close 20 minutes before the programmed hour of departure and the international flights 30 minutes before departure. Those passengers that have not registered before the closing hour will not be able to approach the flight.

Nature Air is located in the Airport of Pavas, about 7 km. from San José and 15 km. from the International Airport Santamaría.

In all the airports the passengers should present identification with picture in order to be able to go aboard the airplane.

It is allowed to transport a maximum of 14 kilos FREE (30 lb.) per person, including the hand baggage. It is not allowed to carry hand baggage which weight is superior to 4.5kilograms (10lbs).
The diameter of the baggage pieces should not be superior to 160cm2. All the baggage pieces that exceed the allowed dimensions will be subject to the type and conditions of load of the airplane (space and weight).
Nature Air doesn't make responsible for any personal items left in the airplane.�.
To any baggage piece that exceeds the allowed maximum weight it will be applied an additional cost in the airport:
- $25 for additional baggage piece or if it weighs between 14.1kilograms (31 lb.) and 20.5 kilos (45 lb.), exceeding this way the maximum weight allowed.
- $60 in case of two additional baggage pieces or if they weigh between 20.1 kilograms (46 lb) and 32 kilograms (70 lb), exceeding this way the maximum weight allowed.
- All baggage pieces that exceeds 32 kilograms (70 lb) it will be subject to an extra cost, as well as to space and available weight in the airplane.
All baggage pieces that exceed the allowed maximum weight will be subject to space and available weight in the airplane; and possibly it would be transported in the next available flight.
Surf boards, bicycles, golf and fishing equipment are subject to available space in the airplane, and the acceptance of them will be confirmed at the time of registration (check in). The cost or charge for the transport of anyone of these articles is of $40 per flight.
In the airport of Pavas we offer free storage service of baggage (available only in San José).

The air tickets are not reimbursable..

All change in the reservations is subject to an additional charge proportional to the airfare.
The additional charge for itinerary change is based on the type of that each passenger has.
It is not allowed to do any change 3 hours before the departure of the flight. Call to Reservations to the 506 2299 6000 to obtain more information about our flights and available seats.

Children 0-24 months of age that travel on the parent's laps, don't pay; however they are subject to taxes. All adult that travels with twins or with two children younger than 2 years of age, will pay 75% of the adult�s rate of an air ticket for both children and it will have to take a security seat for children to put it on the airplane�s seat

Children between 2-11 years of age pay 75% of the rate. Children older than 12 years pay as adults. Not accompanied minors of 6 years of age or older, can travel alone. Minors between 2 and 5 years and 11 months (younger than 6) are not allowed to travel alone, they will only be able to make it in company and under the supervision of an adult not younger than 15 years of age.

All Costa Rican passengers that travel abroad should present a passport with validity of 6 months; and in case of traveling to Bocas del Toro in Panama, you need to have a Visa for this country and to present a passport that has a minimum validity of 6 months.

In the airport of Pavas we provide the service of wheelchair. Nevertheless, the transport of electric wheelchairs is not allowed inside the airships of Nature Air

All the rates are subject to taxes, air charges for airport services and fuel.

Please, confirm your reservation with 24 hours of advance of the flight.

For reasons of limited load capacity of (distribution of weight in the cabin), comfort and security of the passengers, all passenger whose corporal weight is more than 123kilograms, should purchase two air tickets and pay them at the time of making the reservation or in the airport the day of departure. 20% of discount will be applied if the reservation is confirmed with a day of anticipation to the date of departure of the flight.
